Saudi top real estate developer, Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Co. announced holding talks with the Saudi government to provide housing units under the Saudi economic reform plan, Reuters reported.
The Saudi plan announced earlier stated that the Ministry of Housing will spend SAR 59.2 billion ($ 15.8 billion), over a period of 5 years to ease the shortage of affordable housing through schemes, such as loan programs and faster licensing procedures.
Dar Al Arkan said it was negotiating a cooperation agreement with the ministry, according to a brief statement to the stock exchange, where its shares jumped their 10% daily limit, Construction Week Online reported.
