Day 1 of Cityscape Virtual Conference Begins

For the first time in a decade, the annual Cityscape Egypt Conference is hosted virtually, taking place on April 5-6 to bring real estate experts from around the world and provide insight into Egypt’s future economy, investments and real estate sector, Invest-Gate reports.

Over 30 high level speakers from the region’s biggest real estate developers and investors discuss not only one year ahead, but the next decade. They highlight the strategies, innovations and efficiencies that reflect the real estate sector’s new normal post COVID-19.

Day one kicks off with inaugural remarks from Chris Speller, Cityscape group director, and Fathallah Fawzy, co-founder MENA Group and chairman of Cityscape Egypt.

The first panel delves into the future economy of Egypt, with a spotlight on why Egypt is ideal for investments and businesses. Subsequently, the second panel explores the challenges and opportunities of moving to new cities from a developer’s point of view.

Ian Albert, CEO of Colliers – MENA, then gives a presentation titled “Charting Egypt’s Changing Cities”, explaining the role that sustainability, smart technologies and infrastructure play in Egypt’s future cities and investments. Later, panelists weigh in on the manifesto of building sustainable cities in an unsustainable world. Finally, the Cityscape Intelligence Breakout Session reviews how technology paves the way for Egypt’s real estate future, in line with Egypt’s digitalization ambitions. In addition, the break out session also puts the concept of new offices under the spotlight, examining what it is like to move away from the traditional office space.
