Delivery of 3,000 Units in Port Said Co-op Housing Project to be Announced Soon

Members of Parliament from Port Said are set to meet with Hossam Rizk, Chairman of the General Authority for Cooperative Housing, to decide on a delivery date for 3,000 units in the Cooperative Housing project, Al Mal reported.

Over 14,691 homebuyers have applied for units, according to Port Said MP Ahmed Farghaly, who added that the final list of eligible applicants should be announced mid-November.

The contracts between the authority and the applicants will commence in December at which point applicants will be asked to pay the remaining down-payment.

Port Said MPs previously met with the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly to present several problems challenging the residents of Port Said, including the late delivery of units to applicants and demands to amend the conditions for receiving social housing units, according to Parlmany.
