Sayed Ismail, the Deputy Minister of Housing for Infrastructure Affairs, has attended a grand ceremony for the Big 5 Construct Egypt 2024 Impact Awards, Invest-Gate reports.
This prestigious event is one of Egypt’s premier exhibitions in the construction sector, drawing participation from numerous contractors, engineering consultants, real estate developers, manufacturers, architectural firms, project managers, engineers, facilities management companies, and interior designers.
Accompanying Ismail was Samer Ezz El Din, the Ministry of Housing’s project Management Advisor, Mohamed Moawad, Deputy Head of the Project Management Unit, and several representatives from the ministry’s Project Management Unit (PMU).
Ismail highlighted that the award ceremony celebrated excellence across various fields, with over 40 companies and entities specializing in the management, design, and execution of drinking water and sewage projects in Egypt competing for 19 awards.
Moreover, the event featured individual and group awards for participants in the exhibition’s competition. Projects were evaluated by a global committee of 22 experts from diverse fields, including technical, financial, economic, environmental, and social disciplines.
Also, the competition covered numerous categories: heritage preservation initiatives, smart city promotion, service sustainability, commercial projects, energy, water, infrastructure, community, and residential projects.
Furthermore, it recognized the best companies of the year across different specialties, including consultancy, architecture, facilities management, construction, interior design, and digital transformation.
During the event, Ismail received the award for Best Infrastructure Project of the Year for the Sustainable Rural Sanitation Services Program, managed by the Ministry’s PMU.
Notably, this program is vital to Egypt’s national initiative to serve rural areas, emphasizing performance-based financing and focusing on achieving specific goals and results.
