Khaled Abbas, deputy minister of housing for national projects, said real estate investment in Egypt is one of the promising sectors, while referring to the new cities being implemented by the state, including the New Administrative Capital (NAC), New Alamein, New Mansoura, El Galala City, amongst others, Invest-Gate reports.
This came during the interviews the official had with a number of foreign media outlets such as the French newspaper Le Monde and fDi Magazine, on the sidelines of MIPIM 2019, one of the biggest real estate exhibitions held from March 12 to 15 in France’s Cannes, according to an official statement on March 12.
The deputy housing minister noted that Egypt is currently seeking to expand its real estate exports, while offering a number of incentives for foreign investors. He also explained the country was keen on participating in MIPIM 2019 to promote for the various investment opportunities present in this sector, as well as, to meet the world’s big real estate investors, investment funds, and bank officials.
The Egyptian pavilion is very special, although it is the country’s first-time participation in the exhibition, as it showcases the government’s mega national projects as well as other distinctive developments by eight of the top Egyptian real estate companies.
MIPIM’s 2019 theme is “Engaging the Future,” and the participants would share their visions on how real estate industry would work over the next 30 years to have a positive impact on fostering peoples’ quality life.
