Hadayieq Company, which specializes in the management and operation of parks and recreational facilities, is responsible for the development, management, and operation of the Orman Garden and Giza Zoo, Invest-Gate reports.

The company is committed to implementing comprehensive development work within the park, including enhancing infrastructure, preserving historic trees, and restoring archaeological landmarks.

This work is being conducted under the supervision of the International and African Union of Parks and Wildlife Conservation to ensure adherence to the highest international standards in sustainable development and management.

A recently released photo report from the company revealed the completion of work on the sewage and water networks, essential pillars of the park’s sustainability. Additionally, 82% of the concrete pouring for animal care facilities has been completed, following modern designs that meet the highest environmental standards.

The report also highlighted that the maintenance and preservation of the park’s perennial trees have been a major focus since the beginning of the project. Special measures were taken to protect these trees, some of which are over 150 years old, while modern excavation techniques were employed to preserve the park’s natural beauty.

Significant progress has also been made in the restoration of four historic buildings: the Japanese Kiosk, the Old Gate, the Royal Rest House, and the remains of the Harem Palace.

The restoration of the Japanese Kiosk and the remains of the Harem Palace has been fully completed, while the completion rate for the remaining buildings has exceeded 70%.

Proposals for their reuse, in a manner befitting their historical value, have been submitted to the Ministry of Antiquities.

In this context, Mr. Abdel Fattah Fayzi, Managing Director of Hadayieq Company, stated, “What we are doing today is an investment in the future. We seek to enable Egyptian families to celebrate upcoming holidays and occasions within the Giza Zoo and Orman Garden, just as they have throughout their long history. This development is not merely about superficial improvements; it is an absolute necessity as we focus on updating the entire infrastructure. These are works that visitors may not see, but they form the foundation that will ensure the project’s sustainability for decades to come.”

Fayzi added that the company is committed to applying international standards to preserve the heritage and environmental character of the zoo. This is achieved through collaboration with a group of elite international consultants, under the direct supervision of the Pan-African Association of Zoos and Aquaria (PAAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). This ensures a balance between preserving cultural heritage and providing an integrated entertainment experience that aligns with global developments in this field.
