The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered advice on the ownership of real estate property, as well as sale and purchase agreements at a workshop that was held on August 16, reported Trade Arabia.

Under the title “Key Legal Aspects of Real Estate”, the workshop focused on GCC nationals and foreigners who own property, as it was held in collaboration with BSA Ahmed Bin Hazeem & Associates.

The workshop was attended by chamber members, business representatives, lawyers and legal consultants, investors, real estate developers, brokers, and contract administrators, stated Gulf Digital News.

The workshop was led by John Peacock, senior associate, commercial, corporate and M&A, who discussed issues that included types of property ownership, implications of purchasing property in the UAE and signing of sale and purchase agreements.

Director of Legal Services at the chamber Jehad Kazim highlighted the importance of sellers and buyers knowing their rights in today’s regulated real estate market where there are constant changes and new laws.

She added that its important for investors to be aware and understand the mechanisms available for investment by utilizing the best available options to secure investment without going through any unnecessary legal complications.
