Dubai’s Emaar to Open Creek Marina in December

Dubai-based developer Emaar unveils that Creek Marina, a city-harbor getaway in the heart of Creek Island Dubai, is set to launch by the end of 2018, Invest-Gate reports.

Creek Marina is set to inaugurate next December, as preparations are ongoing to welcome the first residents in Dubai Creek Harbour in early 2019, according to a company’s statement.

“With 81 berths for yachts and superyachts, Creek Marina will celebrate life with a carnival of boats, yachts, and a gravity-defying interactive fountain,” Emaar says in the statement, adding that the waterfront destination will be home to premium residences, sweeping landscaped parkland, gourmet restaurants, cafes, and entertainment venues.

The Creek Marina will also be home to the Vida Harbour Point, a 286-room upscale lifestyle hotel similar to harbor hotels in cities such as Singapore and Shanghai, in addition to a “gravity-defying” interactive fountain, world-class art installations, and over 1,500 parking spaces.

“Nearly three-fourths of a kilometer long and about a quarter wide, the Creek Marina is billed to be the new Riviera of the Middle East. With its oyster design, a throwback to the city’s rich pearling history, it will serve as a refreshing new leisure destination for visitors to Dubai from all over the world, and residents in Dubai Creek Harbour,” the statement reads.

A joint venture between Emaar and Dubai Holding, the Dubai Creek Harbour is a six square-kilometer development featuring world-class hotels, green parks and gardens, several cultural attractions, canals, lush parklands, landscaped promenades, pedestrian walkways, cycle paths, and city bus routes.
