Dubai-based real estate developer Meraas announces that construction works at its AED-6-bn Bluewaters Island project are 75% complete, Gulf Business reports.
Moreover, 90% of the island’s buildings have their façades completed, according to the company’s statement.
The Emirati developer also announces that it has set up an automated transport system, which will ferry a total of 2,500 people every hour between the Dubai metro and the island.
The transport system will also be connected to the nearby The Beach development by a 265-meter pedestrian bridge. Residences at the project are scheduled to be handed over in the Q1 of 2018.
When complete, the island will include 200 retail, dining outlets, entertainment, hospitality attractions, and a plaza.
