Dubai-based property developer Nakheel has broke ground on its AED 713 mn Dragon Towers project in the Dragon City mixed-use community in Dubai, Invest-Gate reports.
The ground-breaking ceremony, led by Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah, took place a month after the developer awarded a contract for AED 552 mn to UAE-based “Ali Mousa & Sons Contracting” to build the project, according to an official statement on October 22.
The twin-building project, located on the Al Awir Road, is the first residential component at Dragon City and the only high-rise in the area, comprising two 37-story buildings each with 571 stylish one- and two-bedroom apartments.
“There are also two floors of retail space, four parking levels, and a sixth-floor podium level ‘Clubhouse’ with a 25-meter swimming pool, children’s pool, restaurant, gym, and tennis court,” the statement noted, adding that there are also 5,000 shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Nakheel launched units for sale in the Dragon Towers last month, with prices starting from AED 449,000, aiming to complete the project by 2021.
