Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) completes the construction of roads located in 16 residential districts across the UAE, Invest-Gate reports.
“The projects worth AED 835 mn are part of a five-year plan (2012-2016) that aims to develop several roads across Dubai at a total cost of AED 1 bn, meet the requirements of urban development, improve road networks, and expand demographics,” says RTA Chairman Mattar Al Tayer.
The authority will inaugurate new roads in Dubai’s eastern districts of Al-Mamzar and Al-Nahda, while construction works are still underway for roads in Dubai’s southern sub-community of Nad Al Sheba 4. The under-construction roads will be completed by the end of this year.
The RTA will also open other roads next month in Al Mamzar and Dubai’s eastern sub-community of Al-Nahda 1. The project also includes the development of roads spanning an area of 20 km, 30 parking lots and new traffic signals, according to a statement.
