Edge Holding & Accor Hotels Pen Sofitel Oia Towers Deal in NAC

Edge Holding Developments signs an agreement with Accor Hotels, world-leading hotel group in hospitality, to establish Sofitel Oia Towers in the New Administrative Capital’s (NAC) down town, becoming the first five-star hotel overlooking the Green River, Invest-Gate reports.

The hotel, part of Oia Towers, features hotel apartments, in addition to other services including spa, housekeeping and laundry, parking spaces, lobby, front desk, lobby lounge bar, branded residences amenities, ballrooms, pre-function areas, meeting rooms, banquet sales office, business center & mice ancillary areas, all-day dining buffet, pool bar & grill, specialty restaurant, specialty bar, interior areas at exterior pools and kids club.

Hazem El Sherif, chairman of Edge Holding, states that the company is working on attracting international brands in a move to improve the return on investments.

El Sherif adds that the new partnership will help in enhancing tourism, noting that Accor is one of the most important operating companies across the world as it manages popular brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, and Sofitel.

El Sherif points out that the new hotel, part of the Sofitel chain, will feature more than 200 rooms varying between suites, two rooms and rooms at a high level of quality, as well as nearly 300 hotel apartments. All the rooms will be managed and served by Accor Hotels under the brand Sofitel.

It is worth noting that Oia Towers is a hospitality, commercial, administrative, and medical complex. The project is spread over 12,900 sqm. The project consists of two linked towers, each of them comprises 24 floors, basement, and five floors underground.

The commercial part will be managed by Tivoli Dome. El Sherif further noted that the project is designed by YBA for engineering consultancy. The company has also contracted SIAC to construct the project.
