Egypt and Armenia signed seven agreements on the sidelines of the fifth session of the Egyptian-Armenian joint cooperation committee, held in the Armenian capital Yerevan, Invest-Gate reports.
Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, who attended the committee’s meetings, also met with Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan during the visit.
Nasr and Karapetyan discussed steps needed to boost economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Nasr also stated that the Egyptian cabinet welcomes Armenian investors to Egypt and called on Armenian investors, in fields of tourism, agriculture, IT, food industry, and pharmaceuticals, to expand their businesses to include Egypt.
This is the first meeting between the Egyptian-Armenian joint cooperation committee since 2005.
