Egypt plans to cooperate with India to develop transportation projects in Damietta, Alexandria, Dkahlia, Safaga and Sharm El Sheikh, Invest-Gate reports.
Minister of Transportation Galal Said showcased investment opportunities within these ports to Indian Ambassador Sanjay Bhattacharyya and a delegation of Indian companies, according to a State Information Service statement.
The Transportation Minister also discussed the railway projects with the delegation, explaining that the country seeks to establish new railway lines extending from Dakhlia to 6th of October City, as well as from Ain El Sokhna to Helwan, and from Luxor to Hurghada.
The Indian ambassador is reportedly interested in infrastructure investments in Egypt and plans to organize a conference in March overlooking potential collaboration mechanisms between India, Egypt, and neighboring African countries.
