Egypt, Oman Explore Bilateral Cooperation in Urban, Property Development

During his visit to the Sultanate of Oman, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has held a meeting with Khalfan bin Saeed bin Mubarak Al-Shueili, the Omani Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Invest-Gate reports.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experiences, explore opportunities for joint cooperation, and discuss urban development experiences in both countries. Officials from both ministries were present at the meeting.

El-Gazzar was accompanied by Waleed Abbas, Deputy Chairman of The New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects for the Planning and Projects Sector, and Abdul Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs.

El-Gazzar emphasized that the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities in Egypt is fully prepared to share its extensive experience in urban development with the Sultanate of Oman. He also highlighted the capabilities of Egyptian contracting companies in implementing various development projects in Oman. These companies possess vast experience, highly trained professionals, and access to various building materials.

Al-Shueili, on his part, presented the efforts of his ministry in urban development and the implementation of residential projects. He also discussed the urban strategy and structural plan for the Greater Muscat project, along with proposals for future cities planned for implementation.
