The Egyptian government is cooperating with police forces to retrieve looted state land plots in Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.
Approximately four mn square meters of land plots were retrieved within the first five days of the drive, tackling the issue in accordance with presidential directives. The land plots were part of the looted lands in the previous ten years.
The government says that it plans to build factories on retrieved land plots, adding that approximately 104,000 square meters of lands were retrieved last Sunday, according to a released statement.
Meanwhile, the Cairo governorate announces that it has demolished 12,000 building violations spanning an area of over 100 feddans, according to Cairo governor Atef Abdel Hamid.
