Egypt is eying investments worth EGP 30 bn in the Suez Canal Economic Zone in the forthcoming five years, Invest-Gate reports.
Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr makes the statement during the fourth national youth conference which concludes in Alexandria today.
“The Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation works on attracting investments to national projects such as the New Administrative City, in coordination with the Ministry of Housing,” Nasr says.
The Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation is currently discussing with Chinese construction company China Fortune Land Development (CFLD) the opportunity of establishing an integrated city in the New Administrative City spanning an area of 63 kilometers. The city is expected to attract total investments worth USD 6.7 bn within five years’ time, Nasr adds.
