The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is currently investing EGP 55 bn in a number of under-construction national projects including new cities, Invest-Gate reports.
Other developments underway are the Maspero Triangle, Ahl Misr Promenade, and social housing projects, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar said in a cabinet statement on April 1.
He further noted that several infrastructure developments are being implemented at a cost of EGP 45 bn allocated from the state budget. This includes the establishment of sewage projects in villages and water desalination stations, in addition to the development of many squatters across Egypt.
Earlier this week, El Gazzar held a meeting with officials responsible for the potable water and sewage sector to review its development plan, Invest Gate reports.
