Approximately 39 land plots spanning an area of 747 feddans have been sold at a total cost of EGP 51.3 mn through public lottery, Egynews reports.

The Agriculture and Irrigation Ministry makes the announcement, adding that the land plots are part of a total of 7,500 feddans to be sold in a Sinai developmental project.

The Egyptian government is pushing ahead with plans to carry out projects in the Sinai Peninsula which has long been neglected in terms of security and development.
