Egypt Shortens Nationwide Curfew During Ramadan

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced that the country’s nationwide curfew will be shortened by one hour, Invest-Gate reports.

The curfew will run from 9 pm to 6 am during the holy month of Ramadan, which will start on April 24, the prime minister noted in an official statement.

Commercial venues including shopping malls will open through the week until 5 pm, Madbouly noted. Restaurants will also be allowed to offer delivery and drive-through services throughout the week, he added.

On March 25, Egypt has started imposing a nationwide curfew from 7 pm till 6 am to counter the pandemic outbreak.
