Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly has presented available investment opportunities in Egypt’s mega real estate projects, under construction by the ministry in New Administrative Capital, New Alamein City, New Mansoura City and the extension of Sheikh Zayed, during his participation in the world’s largest real estate exhibition, MIPIM 2018, in the French city of Canne.
Various meetings, symposiums and conferences were held on the sidelines of the fair, as well as showcases of major projects by numerous countries, followed by lengthy discussions on these projects and agreements to invest in them.
Madbouly said that this is Egypt’s first official participation in the international exhibition, which is attended by officials of large investment funds, real estate developers and experts.
This year, about 25,000 people have participated in the fair, including chairman of Rooya Holding and chairman of Tatweer Misr company from Egypt.
Madbouly added that Egypt will participate in the fair next year with a large delegation to showcase the ministry’s projects alongside the projects of Egyptian developers.
“We should seek to access investments funds wherever they are. The presence of an Egyptian government official in such a large exhibition for the first time is important to increases the confidence of foreign investors” Hisham Shukri, chairman of Rooya Holding, said.
The minister proposed holding a conference in Egypt in September to present major projects to the world’s largest investors, global investment funds and large corporations, along with organizing visits to new cities for their senior project managers.
During his speech, Madbouly said that the investment climate in Egypt is attractive to all investors, especially under the measures taken by the government, as well as the various legislative amendments, the latest of which is the Real Estate Registration Law.
