Egypt to Develop 22500 Acres in South Sinai for Tourism

Egypt is planning to develop 22,500 acres in Tur Sinai,  Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly announced on Thursday during his meeting with Minister of Tourism Rania Al-Mashat and the head of Tourism Development Authority (TDA)  to discuss projects included in the recently-announced Sinai Development Strategy, Invest-Gate reports.

Madbouly said that the planning of the project is underway, adding that the coastal area will be developed by TDA and used for tourism.

According to a ministry statement, the entire area will be developed as an integrated city, including services and activities, in aims to attract more residents.

The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) will be responsible for the infrastructure work in the project. The plan will be presented to the cabinet and Egypt’s president upon its completion for approval.
