Egypt to Establish 20,110 Units in 16 Cities by Year-End

The government is to complete the establishment of 20,110 residential housing units in 16 governorates by the end of this year, Invest-Gate reports.

By July 30, a total of 240 units will be completed in Giza, 600 in Qena, 312 in Aswan, 528 in Minya, 144 in Sohag, in addition to 552 and 624 units in Monofeya and Beheira, respectively, according to Hisham Darwish, head of the Construction Sector at the Ministry of Housing.

The ministry will establish 9,856 residential units by September 30, of which 72 units are in Assiut, 336 in Fayoum, 888 in Luxor, 120 in Qena, 1,072 in Aswan, 360 in the Red Sea, 1,584 in South Sinai, 192 in Kafr El-Sheikh, 1,968 in Minya, 384 in Sohag, and 2,880 in Port Said.

By December 31, a total of 5,562 units will be finished in 6 cities, of which 120 units are in Beheira, 1,008 units in Qena, 480 in Red Sea, 752 in South Sinai, 370 in Kafr El-Sheikh and 2,832 in Suez.
