Egypt is preparing plans to expand Sheikh Zayed City to add 9,390 acres of lands located at the west of the city, extending to the Alexandria Desert Road from the north and expansions of 6th of October City from the south, Invest-Gate reports.
The new lands will include all types of residential projects, public services, parks, green spaces, and roads.
“The project aims to provide new areas for investments, far from overpopulated and congested areas in Cairo, and to make good use of desert for residential communities,” says Minister of Housing and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly.
Madbouly had met earlier with consultants and officials to design the expansion plan and discuss alternative strategic plans for the expansion.
