Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, states that Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, will host the 7th Arab Housing Conference entitled “Towards Smart Sustainable Cities that Achieve Quality of Life”, Invest-Gate reports.
This conference will be held on the sidelines of the 39th edition of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The conference will run from December 18th to 20th at the St. Regis El-Massa Hotel in the NAC.
El Gazzar adds that the conference is set to present common Arab visions to overcome the current and future urbanization challenges in the Arab world, contribute to the development of innovative solutions and effective means, and highlight pioneering experiences and projects in the field of smart and sustainable cities to achieve the quality of life.
For her part, Nafisa Hashem, first undersecretary of the Ministry and head of the Housing and Utilities Sector at the Ministry of Housing, clarifies that the first and second parts concern smart and sustainable cities, while the third and fourth parts concern the quality of life and regional and global experiences. Moreover, there is an exhibition that will be organized within the conference activities.
Hashem also points out that 1,200 participants representatives from 22 countries and 50 relevant parties are set to participate in the conference. The organizing authorities of the conference are the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction, and the League of Arab States.
