Egypt to Offer 400,000 Housing Units Under Presidential Initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” After Eid Al-Fitr

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review plans for offering a large number of residential units under the presidential initiative ”Housing for All Egyptians,” Invest-Gate reports. The meeting was attended by Minister of Housing Sherif El Sherbini and senior officials from the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and the New Urban Communities Authority.

Madbouly emphasized President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directive to expedite the offering of a significant number of housing units constructed by the Ministry of Housing and the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. These units aim to accommodate the growing demand for homeownership among low and middle-income citizens.

Cabinet spokesperson Mohamed Elhomosany stated that approximately 400,000 residential units are currently under construction across multiple new cities and governorates. These units come in various sizes and will be available for purchase under flexible financing schemes. He confirmed that preparations are underway to launch the official announcement and open reservations following Eid Al-Fitr.

A joint task force will be formed to finalize the details of the offering, including unit distribution, specific sizes, and completion rates. Some units are already ready for delivery. The final proposal will be submitted to the Prime Minister before being presented to President El Sisi for approval.
