Egypt to Launch Online Industrial Investment Map in September

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi mandated on August 15 the launching of a government portal for the unified industrial investment map by next month, in line with the state’s efforts to promote the Egyptian industrial sector as one of the vital pillars of the national economy, Invest-Gate reports.

The map is the first guide for lands and industrial zones, comprising all data with regards to vacant lots ready to be tapped as investment opportunities in the new cities and governorates, according to a recent presidential statement.

This came during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar, Head of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) Nevine Gamea, among other officials, where El-Sisi called for setting up more integrated industrial cities to boost the sector.

In addition, the meeting focused on the new mechanism regulating industrial lands nationwide, while tackling future visions adopted by the state to develop the industrial sector. Besides, it accorded a special priority to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) due to their significant role in pushing forward the development process, boosting production, and curbing unemployment rates.
