Egyptian Government Implements EGP 2.1Bn Water, Wastewater Projects in Fayoum in 2022

Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, inspects water and wastewater projects implemented by the Fayoum Drinking Water & Sanitation Company (FDWSC) with a total value of over EGP 2.107 bn, Invest-Gate reports.

The projects include the replacement, renovation, and upgrade of water and wastewater plants in the governorate during 2022.

The Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, Mamdouh Raslan, reveals that replacement and renovation of water and wastewater plants are implemented with an estimated cost of EGP 492 mn.

For his part, the Chairman of FDWSC, Mohammed Al-Naggar, notes that projects are underway in the governorate under the Decent Life initiative with a value of EGP 1.615 bn.

He adds that the European Investment Bank’s Fayoum Wastewater Expansion Programme is underway with a value of €300 million to serve 57 villages.
