Egyptian Gov’t Implements EGP 2.3 Bn Water & Wastewater Plants in Sohag

The Egyptian government allocates EGP 2.3 bn to drinking water and water drainage projects in Sohag under the presidential initiative for the development of rural areas in Egypt, Decent Life, Invest-Gate reports.

Chairman of Sohag Company for Water and Waste Water, Mohamed Salah El-Din, reveals that his company participates in water and wastewater projects in 7 cities in Sohag under the Decent Life initiative with EGP 26.8 bn in investments.

These projects include 8 wastewater treatment and pump plants and 3 drinking water plants serving around 3.3 mn citizens, Salah El-Din says.

He adds that 5 water and wastewater treatment plants receive international Technical Sustainable Management (TSM) certificates.

The top executive reveals that a training center for vocational safety and health is implemented with EGP 4.4 mn investments.

Services and maintenance workshops are also implemented with EGP 44 mn, Salah El-Din notes.
