Egyptian Officials Present Social Housing Achievements to Saudi Delegation

Egyptian officials hosted a delegation from Saudi Arabia on May 6 to review the latest residential and developmental projects constructed by the Ministry of of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development, Invest Gate reports.

The delegation was hosted by Vice Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Assem El-Gazar along with Chairman of Mortgage Finance Fund Mai Abdel Hamid and Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) Abdel Moteleb Mamdouh.

During the meeting, El-Gazar presented the Egyptian experiment in regards to the construction of social housing projects, especially during the last four years. He also revealed that the ministry is aiming to increase the urban development areas from 7% to 12-14% in the upcoming years.

On her part, Abdel Hamid presented the achievements carried out by the fund, which contributed around EGP 2.4 bn to support families in owning homes.
