Egyptian PM Inspects Works in New Capital’s R5 Projects

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly follows up on the implementation of residential units in the R5 residential district, “New Garden City,” in the new Capital, Invest-Gate reports.

The tour inspected the progress in finishing the facades of buildings and residential units and site coordination work.

Madbouly stressed the need to adhere to the highest quality in implementing the various components of the project.

For his part, Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, pointed out that the New Garden City, in the New Administrative Capital, has an area of 885 acres, and all the concrete work has been completed, and finishing work is being carried out.

El-Gazzar added that the district includes 22,466 residential units, between residential buildings, mixed housing, villas, townhouses, and twin houses.

Construction of the New Administrative Capital, which is located 35 km southeast of Cairo with a total area of 170,000 acres, began in 2015. The new city is set to house 6.5 mn people when completed.
