Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly conducted an inspection on Thursday of the final works of the first phase of the Badya City project, Invest-Gate reports.
This project is a partnership between the Ministry of Housing and the Palm Hills Development Company, located in New October City.
Madbouly was accompanied by Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza.
Upon his arrival in the city, Madbouly was received by Yassin Mansour, Chairman of Palm Hills Development Company, as well as several company leaders and project supervisors.
Madbouly began his tour by inspecting two different models of finished villas. He also visited furnished models of residential apartments of various sizes, which are ready for delivery to residents.
During the inspection, Madbouly also visited the control center located inside the simulation hall of the data center, which is scheduled to be established in the city of Badya during the next stages of the project.
El-Gazzar explained that this project aligns with the vision of the Urban Communities Authority, aiming to attract major companies to invest in new cities and urban communities.
The Prime Minister listened to an explanation from Yassin Mansour about the project, highlighting that Badya City is the first sustainable city in Egypt and the largest residential project in western Cairo, situated in New October City.
Mansour confirmed that 1,600 units have already been delivered to residents in the first phase, and a number of families are currently residing in the city. He added that the company intends to invest EGP 20 bln to develop the second phase, covering an area of 270 acres.
