Egypt’s Annual Urban Consumer Price Inflation Falls in April

Egypt’s annual consumer price inflation has decreased in April 2018, Reuters reports.

The annual consumer price inflation has declined to 13.1% in April 2018 from 13.3% in March 2018, the official statistics agency CAPMAS has revealed earlier.

The prices of goods and services demanded by urban consumers has increased in Egypt in November 2016, after the devaluation of the Egyptian pound against the US dollar.

The inflation reached its highest level in July after energy subsidy cuts.
