Egypt’s Annual Urban Inflation Falls to 31.6% in September

Egypt’s inflation indicators continued to ease slightly in September compared to figures recorded in August, Invest-Gate reports.

Annual urban consumer price inflation fell to 31.6% in September from 31.9% in August, the official statistics agency CAPMAS said in a statement.

In November 2016, Egypt floated its currency, slashing the value of the pound by half and triggering heavy inflation.
