Egypt’s Commercial Property to See Higher Demand in 2017

The float of the EGP has lured foreign investments back to the economy as capital inflow ups demand for commercial real estate with investors seeking income-producing assets, according to a BMI research report.

The office and retail sectors will see a rise in rents over 2017 on the backdrop of higher demand, while industrial real estate will remain unchanged in terms of investment potential, the report adds.

In its report, BMI also expects a period of “dwindling” consumer and business confidence in the short term.
