Egypt’s core inflation fell to 33.26% year-on-year in September from 34.86% in August, Reuters reports.
Egypt hiked fuel prices in late June by up to 50% to help meet the terms of a USD 12 bn International Monetary Fund loan agreement.
The country’s annual urban consumer price inflation also fell in September, registering 31.6% from 31.9% in August, the state’s official statistics body CAPMAS said in a statement.
