Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar confirmed the completion of road works to boost efficiency and development in Shorouk City, Invest-Gate reports.
Projects include a 3.1 km road linking the eastern axis and the freedom axis by connecting the access and passing roads south of family housing.
El-Gazzar said that work is underway on several medium housing buildings for the Sakan Misr project in Shorouk, with instructions for regular follow-up on implementation stages.
Ali Saad, Head of the Shorouk City Development Authority, stated that development is complete in Neighborhood 5 of District 3. This included paving all interior roads and sidewalks, installing electricity, lighting, telecom, and natural gas networks, landscaping, and other beautification works.
Saad added preparations are starting for paving roads in the District 5 buildings as part of a project to improve road efficiency and site coordination in Districts 1-6. Current works aim to restore asphalt, pave pedestrian walkways, and complete sidewalks, islands, lighting, and gas networks.
Separately, Saad inspected progress on 11 Sakan Misr buildings, following concrete pouring for one roof and interior finishings. External facades and concurrent building works exceed 55% completion across the site.
Three buildings are fully complete in excavation, foundations, concrete structure, and 133 sqm units, including landscaping. The Egypt Housing project is located near the LRT track, with over 1,000 units delivered in phases 1 and 2.
Saad directed officials to execute work optimally, adhering to timelines, quality standards, and safety.
