Minister of Housing, Moustafa Madbouly, met yesterday with Franz Josef Pschierer, State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, and a number of German businessmen, within the framework of a high-level delegation visiting Egypt to cooperate in common areas, reported Invest Gate.
Madbouly briefed the delegation on the opportunities and challenges faced by his ministry, both in housing and utilities. He also informed them of the ministry’s future plans, the possibility of joint cooperation with German companies, and the use of German expertise in the ministry’s proposed projects.
“The ministry’s target is to generate 20 percent -out of the total energy required- of the renewable energy in developing the new urban cities,” the Minister of Housing said.
Pschierer expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian Minister, confirming the need to initiate cooperation between German companies in various fields, as well as cooperation between the two ministries, in order to encourage mutual effort in the joint sectors.
The German state delegation represented several sectors like urban planning, and companies working in the field of renewable energy, drinking water, and sanitation.
