Egypt’s Tahya Misr Fund Finishes 2nd Round of Developing Poor Villages

Tahya Misr Fund, in cooperation with Dar Al Orman Charity Association, has completed the second phase of developing and reconstructing the poorest villages in 15 governorates, Invest-Gate reports.

The governorates are Fayoum, Beni Suef, Sohag, Minya, Sharqia, Qena, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Assiut, Luxor, Aswan, North Sinai, Daqahleya, and Gharbia, according to a recent statement.

The project aims to provide adequate housing for the most underprivileged people in Egypt’s rural areas. It targets the reconstruction and development of 3,030 homes in 100 villages.

The second phase included the reconstruction of around 1,500 houses in 50 villages, benefiting around 2,880 citizens.

Both parties had previously cooperated in the reconstruction of 4,264 homes in 132 villages, at a total cost of EGP 200 mn.
