Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, explains that 61,518 housing units are being implemented in the Capital Gardens City for low-income “Social Housing” within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”, Invest-Gate reports.
El Gazzar adds, “up to 22,104 other units are assigned, offered and planned in the project, in addition to middle-income units and service projects.”
Further, El Gazzar stresses the need for accurate and field follow-up and pushes forward the work of the projects being implemented in the new cities to be completed in the specified times, taking into account the standards of quality and efficiency in implementation.
For his part, Adel Abdel Aziz, Head of the Capital Gardens City Authority, adds that 6,528 housing units for middle-income people have been planned and offered within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”, in addition to offering 1,056 housing units with an area of 90 sqm, as a sample within the housing axis “Green Architecture”.
Regarding service projects, Abdel Aziz indicates “28 service projects have been assigned and being implemented, in addition to offering to implement 5 other projects and 7 vacant projects to serve the different areas of the city.”
Additionally, a plot of land with an area of about 5,000 acres has been allocated for establishment of an integrated urban project “Noor City”, in partnership with the private sector. Besides a ministerial decision is issued and a license to build 16,160 housing units is completed and a validity statement for 1,256 residential villas.
Abdel Aziz stresses that efforts have been intensified in utilities, roads, electricity, communications and gas projects, to speed up the achievement of the targeted development in the Capital Gardens City.
