El-Gazzar Announces Closure of Reservations Transfer for Low-Income Citizens in Housing for All Egyptians Project

Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced the closure of reservation transfers for projects that have available units reserved for low-income citizens under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” on October 24, 2023, Invest-Gate reports.

Mai Abdel Hamid, the CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, explained that the announcement has witnessed a recent surge in citizens’ interest in applying.

The number of applications for transfers has reached 3,036, with the highest number of transfer requests (2,002) being for October Gardens (90-m model). This is followed by New October City – West of the Airport (90- model) with 633 requests, Sadat City from Quesna Center with 157 transfer requests, Beni Suleiman Center (Khalf El-Shouna) with 129 transfer requests, El-Alama City with 62 transfer requests, and Sadat City from Ashmoun City with 53 transfer requests.

She added that this announcement provides housing units that are ready for immediate delivery to citizens who will be accepted within the transfer announcement.

She emphasized that several conditions must be met for the transfer, including not recovering the serious reservation deposit from the original advertisement, not having been allocated a residential unit in the same original project previously, meeting the conditions stated in the original advertisement at the time of submission, and not having transferred from the original project applied for before. Additionally, once the transfer request is submitted, the customer does not have the right to withdraw it if units are available in the original project.
