Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has announced the completion of the Badr 3 power transformer station, Invest-Gate reports.
The station has entered its trial operation phase and will begin providing power to support the city’s expansions. Voltage load tests have been conducted as part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance services in new cities.
Radwan Abdel Rashid, the head of the Badr City Development Authority, conducted a tour of the transformer station along with agency officials. He explained that the Badr 3 transformer station project has a total cost of approximately EGP 145 mn.
Abdel Rashid mentioned that the electrical current has been activated in the station to supply power to the Second District. Cable testing is currently underway, and the Third District will also be supplied with power. Additionally, the Fourth district, Fifth District, city center, entertainment district, and north of the city will all receive power from the station.
During the tour, Abdel Rashid also inspected the progress of housing and road projects in the third phase of the employee housing project in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), known as “Zahrat Al Asimah”. He closely monitored the road construction and site coordination along with his team.
