Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has announced the offering of an additional 480 housing units in the JANNA project in the cities of 6th of October and New Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.
The sizes of the units range from 100 sqm to 150 sqm. The allocation of these units will be done through a first-come, first-served electronic reservation system facilitated by the Housing and Development Bank.
This opportunity is specifically targeted at customers who were unable to reserve a residential unit in the JANNA project during the previous advertisement and did not withdraw their reservation deposit.
Waleed Abbas, the Deputy Chairman of The New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects (NUCA), emphasized that this offering aligns with the Authority’s commitment to providing diverse housing options for citizens in new cities. It is in line with the directives of the political leadership to offer housing units that cater to the citizens’ needs and financial capabilities.
Amin Ghoneim, the Deputy Chairman of NUCA for the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector, outlined the payment terms for these units. Customers are required to pay 20% of the total unit price, along with 1% for administrative expenses and 0.5% for the benefit of the Board of Trustees. This payment should be completed within one month from the end date of the electronic reservation.
