Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the establishment of a central room for crisis and disaster management at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.

This initiative comes in line with the directives of the political leadership to enhance the role of crisis and disaster management rooms.
El Gazzar further elaborated that the room has been fully equipped according to the highest standards in coordination with the Armed Forces’ information systems.

The room will include representatives from various entities affiliated with the ministry, particularly the New Urban Communities Authority and the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation.

This arrangement aims to establish a direct link between the room and the agencies responsible for the new cities, as well as the water and sanitation companies in different governorates. This will facilitate seamless communication during times of crisis.
