During his inspection tour of projects in New Alamein City, Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, stated that the performance of contracting companies and consulting offices involved in the city’s projects will be strictly evaluated, Invest-Gate reports.
El-Gazzar added that future dealings would be based on their adherence to project completion deadlines.
He instructed officials from the New Urban Communities Authority and the New Alamein City Authority to immediately replace any contractor that shows neglect in their responsibilities.
El-Gazzar further explained that future interactions with contracting companies would be based on their commitment to project timelines, adherence to specified time programs, and the required quality of work.
The evaluation would no longer be solely based on the size of the company or its prior experience, as the distinction lies between serious and inactive companies rather than between large and small ones.
He emphasized that negligent companies would not be engaged in future projects under the New Urban Communities Authority.
