Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has commended the Arab Contractors Company for winning two prestigious international awards in the Global Best Projects 2023 competition, as announced by the American magazine “Engineering News-Record”, Invest-Gate reports.

The company received recognition for the best environmental project and the best water and wastewater project of the year.

El-Gazzar emphasized that the consecutive international awards won by Egyptian companies serve as a testament to the success of Egypt’s determination to execute large-scale projects across various sectors, and in a remarkably efficient manner. These achievements contribute to the rapid development boom in the country, establishing a new republic where the Egyptian people can enjoy the quality of life they aspire to.

El-Gazzar extended his congratulations to the two authorities responsible for the awarded projects, namely the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces and the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation. Their exceptional efforts in supervision and follow-up were acknowledged and appreciated.

Ahmed El-Assar, Chairman of the Arab Contractors, highlighted that the Eastern Purification Plant Project in Alexandria, supervised by the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, and implemented by the company, received the award for the best global environmental project.

El-Assar also mentioned that the new Delta treatment plant project for agricultural wastewater, supervised by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and implemented by the company, won the award for the best global water and wastewater project. Notably, the Delta treatment plant project has already achieved four records in the Guinness Book of World Records.
