Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, explores the ministry’s efforts in different projects in the fields of preservation of the environment and best and safe employment of resources, for the creation of green sustainable communities for future generations in various cities, Invest-Gate reports.
El-Gazzar adds on the sidelines of his participation in the 27th Session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) that the housing ministry took the approach of developing new communities planned in compatibility with the climate.
The minister demonstrates the “Resilient Sustainable Cities Initiative for Future Generations” which is set to be announced during the events of COP27 and aims to accelerate the international development agenda, including the Sustainable Development Plan 2030 and the Paris Agreement.
El-Gazzar notes that the initiative seeks to empower African and developing cities around the world to face climate change and facilitate financing for new high-impact urban planning.
