Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar has met with several ministerial officials to follow up on the handing over of land plots in the “Beit El Watan” project, which is being developed to cater to Egyptian expats, Invest-Gate reports.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated that the housing ministry, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), has proposed seven new phases of the Beit El Watan project to comprise 17,000 residential and service plots, together with more than 7,000 housing units, according to a recent ministerial statement.
These projects are aimed at satisfying the appetite of Egyptians working abroad to own land plots nationwide, build their own homes, and become linked to their homeland, the statement added.
Therefore, there is a need to expedite the implementation of utilities across the board to hand over the remaining plots to their recipients, El Gazzar concluded.
