Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, is closely monitoring the progress of the Housing for All Egyptians presidential initiative in the Third Settlement of New Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.
El-Gazzar announced that the construction work on the residential units and buildings has been completed, and the finishing touches are being carried out in preparation for the units to be made available to citizens.
He explained that the project includes 5,328 residential units, ranging in size from 90 to 120 sqm. He highlighted that the average completion rate of the buildings has exceeded 80%, while the average completion rate for infrastructure works stands at 50%.
The minister emphasized the commitment to the specified timelines for project implementation, aiming for the highest level of execution in terms of finishing works and site coordination. This is done to ensure the delivery of residential units in the best possible manner.
In a related context, El-Gazzar also reviewed the progress of several road and axis development projects in New Cairo. These projects include the development of the southern extension of the 90th Axis, Gamal Abdel Nasser Axis, the 24th Axis, the 28th Axis, and the Axis east of the First Settlement.
He further stressed the importance of adhering to the specified deadlines for completing these projects with the highest quality, highlighting their significance within the state’s plan to develop the road network in eastern Cairo, improve traffic flow, facilitate access to the New Administrative Capital, and connect it to the existing urban areas in eastern Cairo.
