Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, inspects the work progress in the urban development of the West Carrefour area in Alexandria and New Rashid City, Invest-Gate reports.

As for the housing, 64 residential towers are being implemented in the West Carrefour area in phases I & II of Sawari Towers. Further, 310 residential villas are being implemented.

Moreover, 564 housing units (25 buildings) are being implemented in New Rashid City, in the coastal housing project with an advanced completion rate.The Bashayer El Kheir 4 initiative is being implemented by the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing, as 33 buildings are being completed.

For his part, Ahmed Ibrahim, head of New Rashid City Authority and supervisor of the urban assembly in West Carrefour in Alexandria, explains that the urban assembly west of Carrefour is being implemented to increase development projects and provide different types of housing and investment services in Alexandria. Additionally, the urban assembly spans over 419,74 acres.

Ibrahim says that the Sawari Towers is a residential compound (luxury housing) with 3,068 housing units on an area of ​​60 acres. The units range between 130 and 280 sqm and the villas project on an area of ​​57 acres. While the utilities and roads are being implemented to receive citizens once the housing units are completed.

It is scheduled to establish power plants in New Rashid City to provide the necessary loads for future expansions and projects. Also, Ministerial licenses have been issued to establish Rashid University on an area of ​​35 acres. While 20,000 sqm have been allocated to build a school in phase I of the project.
